Eligibility For Membership
Membership inquiries are welcome.
Membership is extended to men and women 18 years of age or older who are direct lineal or collateral (brother or sister of a direct ancestor) descendants of an ancestor or themself who were an American Prisoner of War from 1607 through present day.
The following is a partial list of acceptable activities for eligibility:
· Ancestor/Self who was held as a Prisoner of War during a war or conflict
· Ancestor who was captured by an adversary and held captive and/or for ransom
· Ancestor who was captured and held captive and/or for ransom during a skirmish

Fees
The prospective member has twelve months from the date of first contact to complete the application process. Extensions may be granted upon approval of the Executive Council. All new members shall be issued a complimentary certificate of membership.
Regular Life membership fee is $250. The fee ($250) shall be submitted with the application, along with a $35 non-refundable application fee, for a total of $285, payable to DAPOW.
Supplemental Fee: Non-refundable $35.00, payable to DAPOW
